There is a lot happening in the area of Mathematics Education in the State of California. Unfortunately, it is most political. All thoughts are my own.

This is a controversial bill in which the thoughts and opinions are my own and do not reflect and formal position by my college, district, or any of my affiliations.

Famed Garfield High School Mathematics teacher whose story was featured in the movie “Stand and Deliver”. Jaime Escalante was a mentor of mu=ine, as he was for so many students in the East Los Angeles area. I had him for PreCalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Calculus 3, at East Los Angeles College. He taught evening students for 2 years at East Los Angeles College in the late 80’s prior to his move to Sacramento.
